Bo off the high 50-60 footer

Well since the last post, Madi's brother, and mine now Boman came to live with us. So did his friend Ryan. It has been fun, but once they got here I got hired renevating the Grand Wailea Hotel. So Madi and I were working a few days a week and then having lots of fun on our days off with these dudes. Surfing, snorkeling, scuba diving, cliff diving, card and board games and some intense volleyball games. So it has been fun to have a few more enthusiastic souls. When they first got here they bought a spear at a yard sale ($1) and have been trying to spear us some fish for dinner. They have had no luck until now a few days before Ryan has to leave :( But it is a beautiful fish and pretty tasty. Check out the Pic! Since yesterday Madi and I are both done working and get to play nonstop until we come home which is approaching soon. Here are a few videos and pics of what we have been up to lately. 4th of July fireworks over the ocean! Cliff diving, pretty drives and hikes, just lots of beauty and fun.

P.s- The surf has been really small lately, the next swell should hopefuly come this weekend.

We just wanted to thank everyone who helped make our wedding so special. Especially our parents. We love you all and hope you enjoy the cards(above) we are sending out. Life on Maui

With the Surfboard on Top!


A fitting replacement of bum, major sunburn.

Life on Maui is sweet! The pineapples are sweeter, the water warmer, sun always shining, speed limits slower, humidity higher, waves to surf, ocean to snorkel, and higher starting wages! But yes it is expensive, and sometimes the sweat glands wish they could have a break, but it really is better tan we could have ever imagined. It will be a time we will never forget and never regret. Madi just started working part time at Subway while I am still looking for work. A guy at the Grand Wialea is supposed to give me a call on Friday to see if I'm in. So I surfed for two hours this morning, and went to talk with the manager at Baskin Robbins just in case this doesn't work out. But the manager wasn't there, she never seems to be there. Madi and I have already gone on some sweet adventures. We went upcountry to some waterfalls that have ledges and trees to jump from, to the Iao needle and valley that is rainy and lush, through old lava fields and surfing all along the west coast. We just had some nice southerly swells that brought some good surf. But all this weve been able to do because of our good friend "Trustee Rusty". This is the 1983 Toyota Tercel SR5 we bought from some pot smoking hippies in Pa'ia. It has over 270,000 miles on it but really just amazes us at how well and fun it is to drive. It's like driving a slightly bigger than normal Go-Kart. It even sounds and smells like one. It has a bit of trouble in the mornings but once it is warmed up and going it's a smooth ride. We love it. It even has some nice Thule racks to hold our surf boards. Only one door opens, the drivers but the passenger can easily just climb in and out of the window. We just recently put in some new upholstery that we bought at a yard sale. It is an old table cloth that we cut up and sewed in. It looks good and makes the seats seem less dirty. We think it gets around 22 miles a gallon but we arent real sure because we have no fuel gauge. So all is well, were safe, happy and making it all work as we knew it would. Aloha-M&T

Under the Sea

We love our new underwater camera. It is real fun and takes some sweet pictures. Check out the footage with us snorkeling with some turtles! There were four of them all around us at one point.

This is under Jackson Lake while we were there. It was still mostly fozen.

This is a sea urchin with these seeds and leaves stuck to it. Even the sea creatures are happy to see us!

Our second Honeymoon(Oahu)

So when we first moved to Hawaii we went to Oahu for a week at a really fancy hotel. It had pool of manta rays, fish, and hammerhead sharks, it's own secluded beach and a really nice pool and hot tub. So here area few pictures from that week. One of the coolest things we did there was chill at this surf hut. It wasn't a far walk form our hotel but it was pretty blended into the rock. It was made out of rock and palm leaves. We met a really nice guy that basically lived there and built the place. He let us hang out and watch the sunsets there. He also gave us a bunch of cooking utensils and spices and Madi and I cooked up some salmon as the sun was setting. It was like a dream. We surfed at Waikiki, took naps on the North Shore and loved life. Check out the beauty.

Our First Honeymoon

Hello we Finally have some USB ports to upload pictures so here goes. These are from Jackson hole/ Grand Teton/ Jackson Lake/ Yellowstone, where we went on our honeymoon. Madi has never been to Yellowstone before so it was really cool to explore and see Old Faithful. Due to the snow the hikes to see the calssic upper and lower falls were somewhat closed off but we sneaked in anyways and had the views all to oursleves. It was so awesome the river was super high so the falls were pumping tons of mist and there was still snow at the bottom.

This is a spot where we camped outside of Moab over looking Castle Valley. It is very beautiful and a huge long cliff face that would be fun to rapeel and climb.
